42-year-old Nicole Gropp was injured in a three-car accident on I-74 in St. Joseph on October 31. Neither 34-year-old Hilary Edgerly, who was in the car directly in front of Gropp’s, nor 44-year-old Kevin Hedden, who was driving the semi truck in front of Edgerly’s car, were injured.
Traffic was backed up around 8 a.m. when Gropp sped into a line of stopped cars, causing the wreck.
Gropp was taken to Carle Hospital in Urbana for treatment of her injuries and cited for failure to reduce her speed.
