Two individuals were injured in a Thursday evening crash on I-74 near Fithian. According to reports from state police, a 64-year-old man driving a Chevy Silverado lost control of his vehicle when he hit a patch of ice on the road. After losing control of the truck, he drove partially off the road and subsequently struck the median wires with his front bumper.
Both the driver and an 11-year-old passenger were taken to the hospital to receive treatment for what authorities described as minor injuries. No tickets or citations have been issued in connection to this incident.
