Motorcyclist injured in Urabana accident

An Urbana man was killed in a motorcycle accident on Interstate 74 at 8:30 a.m. on October 8.

The 38-year-old man lost control of his motorcycle while traveling on the on-ramp of I-74. His bike traveled off of the roadway onto gravel. He then turned the bike to head back to the roadway, but the motorcycle flipped onto it side and he was ejected from it.

The man was then airlifted to the Carle Foundation Hospital with serious injuries. He was charged with driving under the influence, driving an uninsured vehicle, driving with a revoked license and improper land usage.

Drunk driving accidents can cause serious injury to all involved, our thoughts are with the friends and family of the victim.
