A man from Rantoul was injured in an early morning vehicle crash Monday.
According to an Illinois State Police report, 58 year-old Edward Nash, of Rantoul, was traveling south on U.S. 45 in a 1985 Chevrolet pickup truck when the crash occurred. Shortly after 5:30 a.m., as Nash approached the County Road 2200N near Thomasboro, he attempted to pass another vehicle on the icy road.
As Nash pulled into the left lane on the southbound side of U.S. 45, the front left tire of the pickup truck caught a snowdrift from the median. The pickup was forced toward the median, which it struck. The vehicle then rolled over and landed on it’s roof.
