One man was injured in a construction-related semi-truck accident that occurred on Interstate 57 in a construction zone near Ashkum.
The accident occurred when a 49-year-old man was driving a semi-truck and rear-ended a construction truck. The semi-truck was hauling compressed hydrogen canisters when the accident occurred.
Officials have said that there was no leak in the accident, but a crew came to make sure that no hazardous material was spilled. One man remains in serious condition after the accident and is being treated at Riverside Medical Center.
