A man is in critical condition after he sustained severe burn injuries from falling on the electrified third rail of the Logan Square station September 26.
The accident occurred before 4:30 p.m, according to the Chicago Fire Department’s news office. The man fell down on the third rail tracks and suffered burn injuries. The fire department stopped the trains to rescue the victim. He was then transported to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center for treatment of critical burn injuries.
Train operation resumed a little before 5:00 p.m.
