A wrongful death lawsuit has been filed by the family of a young man that was killed in “car surfing” stunt earlier this year.
According to the lawsuit, the man was killed on June 30 as he was sitting on top of a car while in a Wal-Mart parking lot and the driver of the car accelerated suddenly. After the car accelerated, the man was thrown from the roof.
The 20-year-old man died two days later of injuries sustained. The 19-year-old driver was charged with reckless homicide as a result of the accident. The lawsuit states that the driver made the sharp turn too recklessly and too fast.
Our thoughts are with the friends and family of the victims at this time.
