The Illinois Workers’ Compensation Act is on its way to witnessing reforms that will seek to address the “shortcomings” of the 2011 amendments, Illinois Governor Bruce Vincent Rauner said during his State of the State Address on February 4, Business Insurance reported.
Even though Gov. Rauner did not specify what changes he will make exactly to the workers’ compensation system, he emphasized that reforms are “much needed” in Illinois to give fair compensation to injured workers while at the same time making sure that private and public employers are not “overburdened by an irrational system.”
