A recent article reported that a number of drivers are avoiding a certain stretch of I-74 between St. Joseph and Danville because it is perceived as being dangerous. In fact, last week alone, three separate accidents occurred.
Several individuals interviewed stated that they avoid that stretch as much as possible, instead taking backroads whenever available. Those interviewed also remarked that driving conditions on this particular stretch of road are especially dangerous in the winter months and in sections of the road where construction projects are taking place. A fatal accident occurred on this same stretch of road in January of this year.
Sadly, far too many car accidents occur on roadways across the country every year because of dangerous road conditions, and most of these are preventable occurrences. If you or someone you love has been injured in a car accident because of dangerous roadway conditions, help is available.
