State Senator Scott Bennett visited area long-term care facilities in Danville Monday to deliver Valentine’s Day cards written by students and community members across Vermilion County as part of his card collection drive.
“It’s been such a joy delivering these heartfelt valentines to our long-term care residents this Valentine’s Day,” Bennett said. “This collection drive was a community effort, and its success is a testament to the compassionate hearts of our neighbors who have been so generous with their time and talents to spread love to these folks this year.”
More than 1,000 valentines were delivered to various long-term care facilities, including Accolade Healthcare, Arcadia Care, Cannon Place and Gardenview Manor thanks to contributions from participating schools and hundreds of local residents.
We are proud to have Scott Bennett as part of the Spiros Law team. Scott is a caring and compassionate part of the team as shown by these types of community involvement. The family members and loved ones of those who are living in long-term care facilities do not always have the availability to visit and an act that may seem small to many, like delivering Valentine’s Day cards, can make a big difference in the lives of facility residents.
