Champaign resident Daniel G. Allen, 59, was injured this past weekend in an accident involving his motorcycle and an SUV driven by Urbana resident Janet Rawdin, 59. According to a press release from the Illinois State Police, the accident occurred when Rawdin, who had been traveling eastbound on U.S. 150, turned left onto Cottonwood Road in front of Allen, who was traveling in the opposite direction.
Both Allen and Rawdin were ticketed for the incident: Allen for driving with a revoked license and Rawdin for failing to yield. Both vehicles were towed from the scene and Allen was transported to an Urbana hospital to receive treatment for injuries sustained in the collision.
