A single-vehicle accident in rural Douglas County, Illinois, has left two teenagers injured. The accident, which occurred late in the afternoon on Tuesday, March 26th, involved a sixteen-year-old boy and a sixteen-year-old girl whose vehicle crashed into a tree at 675 N. County Road 1760 E. Both teens were transported to Carle Foundation Hospital in nearby Urbana to be treated for their injuries, which in both cases were described as non life-threatening.
While this crash likely occurred as a result of a simple accident (the crash is still under investigation by the Douglas County sheriff’s office), many other car accidents occur each year in Illinois which are fully preventable. In these situations, those who suffer injuries as a result may be able to pursue compensation from those responsible for the accident.
