Recently, an Illinois coroner ruled that the death of a highway worker earlier this year on October 3rd was, in fact, accidental.
Dennis Goebel of Dorsey, Illinois, was working on repairing culverts in Meadowbrook, near St. Louis, when he was backed over by a dump truck. None of his co-workers saw the incident take place, but they later found his body under the truck. Coroner Steve Nonn of Madison County said that Goebel died of asphyxia.
Nonn also reported that Goebel had what he called “therapeutic levels” of a prescription medication in his blood.
