I have never worked with a lawyer before my accident in 2018, when I came to Spiros, Sandra Loeb made sure to help me get the settlement I deserved. In the year that I worked with her she went above and beyond, communicated every step with me and in the end I was truly happy with her work and the outcome.

I was very pleased with my experience at Spiros Law. Initially I didn't know how to proceed, what to say, or who to talk to. They were very helpful and from then on I was able to contact the same person with any question or concern. I was well treated through the entire process, and that is important to me.

WHAT SHOULD I Do If I've Been Injured?

ALSO AFTER THE INCIDENT, DO YOUR BEST TO ACCOMPLISH THE FOLLOWING:

  • Immediately seek medical attention
  • If you are physically able, talk to witnesses to the accident and collect their contact information
  • Record notes of the accident as you remember it. Include any details or facts that may be beneficial in the future, including what was happening before the accident occurred and what you were doing.
  • Contact your insurance company, the parties involved in the accident, and witnesses to the accident.
  • If the accident concerns your auto or homeowner’s insurance, you will need to let your insurer know that you will be filing a claim. Many insurance companies require that you notify them within a short period of time.
  • Return to the accident scene to collect any evidence that you weren’t able to get at the time of the accident. Take plenty of photos of the scene and from various angles. Talk with people who are often in the area as they may have information about other accidents that have happened at that location.
  • Document your injuries throughout your recovery. Take photos of your injuries and record any notes about your ability to work or participate in daily activities.
  • Hold on to copies of all your medical records. Be thorough with all doctors you see so that their records accurately reflect the extent of your injuries.

Border Logo

If you have been injured in an accident in the Champaign area that was caused by someone else, it’s never a good idea to try to handle your personal injury claim alone. Your chances of recovering the maximum compensation increase tremendously when you get help from an experienced Champaign personal injury lawyer.

Personal injuries are physically and mentally demanding. Allow a lawyer to lift the burden from your shoulders by taking care of all the legal heavy lifting involved with your claim. A skilled personal injury lawyer will be able to level the playing field with the insurance companies by negotiating for a full and fair settlement.

Depending on the circumstances of your personal injury case, you may need to sift through piles of legal documents, interview witnesses, and present evidence in court, among other tasks, to win your case. Complicated rules and procedures have to be followed when carrying out tasks such as filing motions and raising objections. This is why you need the help of a skilled personal injury attorney.

The experienced Champaign personal injury lawyers at Spiros Law, P.C. have done these things many times before. They are well-versed in navigating the complex Illinois legal system.
